Would The Player Have Saved The Mother-In-Law?

Okay … I can’t hold my tongue any longer.  I have to comment on the “news story” getting so much hype on the TV news channels.

IF the reports I heard are correct, an NFL player was pulled over for running a red light and then driving recklessly to the hospital.

So, the police officer was doing his job responsibly!  And the player was in the wrong …

Eventually, the officer found out the player was rushing to the hospital to see his mother-in-law who was terminally ill and later passed away.

So .. certainly I feel for the family and offer my condolences …

I am hesitant to ask, but why was the player so late?  Anyone know what he was doing prior to the incident?

But even if the mother-in-law was riding in the back seat of the car, on the way to the hospital … THERE IS NO EXCUSE for running a redlight and endangering other innocent people.  You still have to successfully navigate through other people.

It is not like I expect much out of the hype-generating cable channels that pass for news these days … but come on.  Have some common sense!

I think this story is so indicative of the lack of reasoning in today’s society … and the lack of accountability and the increased entitlement of people who do not look out for anyone but themselves.

Know what I sayin?
