PingWi-Fi Sleeps Through Radio Gig On Black Friday — Another Turkey-Related Mishap

Friday, I succumbed to a self-induced turkey stupor, dozing off with the laptop on my chest, pinned to the couch.  I was supposed to be monitoring KRLD Radio online.  Market analyst and business journalist David Johnson had interviewed me a couple of days earlier, and I didn’t know when the piece would air.  As I slept, I swear I dreamed I heard my own nasally voice — speaking that is — but kept on “sawing logs.”  Ha … I missed it.

David Johnson, KRLD, CEO Spotlight:

Thank goodness for radio podcasts …

Well, hopefully there were some offices open on Turkey Day+1, or maybe folks tuned in to KRLD during Black Friday shopping sprees. (Hmmm … do I really want thousands of people making fun of how I sound on the air???)

David has been a great journalism contact over the years, and a wonderful friend — a “Texas Panhandle boy” like myself.  Back during my first cross-country trip, David and I did a weekly call-in report about the roadtrip.  This time he featured “Ping” of PingWi-Fi in his CEO Spotlight on KRLD.  Thanks David!

Also, go ahead and e-mail me to tell me the actual location of the upcoming Burning Man event.  Actually, I know where it is, and I was trying to cleverly mislead the masses, to keep the event non-commercial.  (Or more accurately, I just misspoke … oops.)

Know what I sayin’?
