Blogging: Hardhat Dirty Jobs To Country Club Living

I was looking for some inspiration, when along came Devo. WOXY, an Internet radio station I frequent, is now playing “Whip It.”  “Crack that whip” … now that’s inspiration in its truest form.

(For newcomers, fyi, there is an interview of Devo’s frontman Mark Mothersbaugh on this site.)

Today — no stories of Wi-Fi … just blogging from my local Starbucks, using AT&T.

Oh, this is cool. The PR folks from T-Mobile are sending to me a WebConnect laptop stick for wireless connectivity anywhere, anytime. Don’t get me wrong, Wi-Fi is still numero uno in my book, but I am willing to try new things, especially in those troublesome areas that don’t have Wi-Fi.

This week I have been sans Wi-Fi because I am doing another dirty jobs gig — demolishing a sports workout facility in Dallas, but that’s all I will say about that. Picture me in hardhat, steel-toe workboots, chugging those Gatorades in the Texas heat.

By contrast, my daytime blog took me to another sports venue today — lunch at Fort Worth’s posh and opulent Colonial Country Club — home of Hogan’s Alley and the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial golf tournament.

Ah, blogging, the spice of life.

Know what I sayin?
