PingWi-Fi — So Sublime — Makes You Do His Bidding

In college, I was fascinated with the theories of “Subliminal Seduction” as proposed in a couple of books about hidden messages in advertising.  Of course, nowadays anything goes, so why take the time to bury the smut, right?  Can you believe truck adds use the word “frickin” on TV?  I mean … I am no stranger to euphemisms.  I digress …

So anyway, supposedly, all this funny stuff started with movie theaters inserting a few frames into motion pictures that commanded, “Must have popcorn,” or something like that.

Today, maybe the theaters should insert “Turn off cell phone, moron.”

Wait. Was it the popcorn sellers who first dabbled in subliminal advertising messages, or was it Leni Reifenstahl’s Nazi propaganda films in WWII.  Hmmm?  Unsure.  Popcorn or Nazis? I always get those two mixed up.

Anyway … What the heck, for nostalgia I tried my hand at some subliminal tricky underhanded stuff.  See if you can find any mind-control type messages in this clip.  If so, we should go into business together.

Know what I sayin?
