I just saw a Google Alert — “code word” Wi-Fi — about everyone’s favorite … the iPhone.  The article in the alert questions whether or not people are experiencing problems getting on Wi-Fi networks with the iPhone.

Ha … the problem I find most often is that the iPhone is so adept at finding/securing a connection … so aggressive … then it “bogarts” the hotspot … leaving my laptop feeling all left out.  What I mean is, my iPhone hooks up automatically when I enter the Wi-Fi zone.  Then by the time my HP Pavilion laptop starts up and launches all the security stuff … the paid hotpot rejects the computer’s advances, because I am already logged in.

Of course this situation is easily remedied by turning off the Wi-Fi function on the iPhone … and that also expands the battery life of the phone …

But I mean … like all I have to do is referee spats between my laptop and my iPhone:)

Can’t you two play nice?  There is plenty of love to go around.

Note: I am carrying the pre-G iPhone, which my friends at AT&T and Apple to sold me (at a premium price) about two months before it became obsolete.  But not to worry … they said I can upgrade to the less expensive, newer version for a hundred bucks or so … but that’s another story:)
